Summary:
Roy moves from Montana to Florida and has a hard time fitting in. He finds himself involved in another boy's attempt to save a colony of burrowing owls from a proposed construction site. The book could be used in a classroom by having students read this in small groups, then having them discuss ways that they can help conserve wild life. This book could also be used as a large conversation piece because this book addresses many issues that happen in the school setting such as bullying.
